The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington Education Foundation provides the resources for continuous training and development of the skills necessary for entry and growth within the food service and hospitality industries.

 
EDUCATION INDUSTRY COMMUNITY

RAMW Education Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to building partnerships between the local community and our area’s public high schools whose focus is on “Career Technology Education.”

Some of the activities we facilitate include:

  • Organizing field trips and lectures from area chefs and other guest speakers in the restaurant and hospitality industries,
  • Advising schools of industry trends and developments,
  • Providing information on student scholarships for post-secondary education,
  • Organizing internships and mentor opportunities with local businesses,
  • Providing schools with partial financial aid, as needed for culinary-related materials such as competition uniforms,
  • Facilitating participation in local, regional, and national ProStart and SkillsUSA culinary competitions,
  • Consultation on high school culinary facility renovations and upgrades,
  • Providing ServSafe (Safe Food Handling) materials and instruction.
